Now on VHS! The Boys Night Out (1989) Co-Release with Black VVideo
$20.00 USD
Shot in 1989 by teens armed with a camcorder and hidden for decades on a lone VHS tape, the raw footage was finally edited and completed by Peter Nehring (also founder of Hollywood Babylon), one of the original creators, breathing new life into this backyard SOV midwestern zero-budget relic. With music from local Fox Valley Wisconsin punk/metal bands of the era, (Experiment Fear, Vesicular Basalt, Threadlike, and Ben Grim), The Boys Night Out is a time capsule of midwestern teen angst and suburban boredom in the late ‘80s, now released for the very first time in a limited run of VHS.
Tape shell is classic black with high quality vinyl stickers and authentic diecut VHS cardboard slipcases. Original illustration by Peter Nehring and design by Brooke Mossefin.
